Growing up, I was always fascinated by martial arts and was a keen fan of Chinese Kung Fu films. During my childhood, I attended a few different classes of various styles but did not find what I was looking for. In 2002 I was fortunate to be introduced to Grand Master Kim Han and the Wuzuquan system and I have not looked back.
From 2002, I trained as much as possible with Grand Master Kim and in 2008 I was awarded my black belt. Since then I have continued to learn under Master Kim but have also explored other styles in order to improve my sparring ability.
I learnt boxing for two years from 2008 – 2010. I also studied Eskrima to practice and improve my weapons sparring.
In 2012, having received numerous requests from friends I started teaching Nan Shaolin Wuzuquan
In 2013, I started learning Sanshou under Sifu Nigel Gilham and have found this to be the most suitable sporting style to compliment Nan Shaolin Wuzuquan.
In 2015, I was very pleased to move into The Focus Room our dedicated training facility here in Watford. This has allowed me to focus on my training much more as well as offer more time and facilities to my students.
In 2016, I attended K.E.W.A.P (Knives and Edged Weapons Awareness Program) and am pleased to be an approved instructor.
